Maya Matilda Carroll

is a choreographer, dancer, teacher, based in Berlin, making independent work since 2004. Her work ranges between set choreography and directed improvisation, evolving from an interplay between reality and fantasy, human conditions and relationships. Working in Germany and Europe she has been making dances and performing her work in state theaters, independent venues and alternative spaces. Her classes and workshops offer an exchange and research vehicle, exploring composition through improvisation and choreography. In 2011 Maya formed The Instrument; an artistic structure standing for her independent and collaborative work with her partner- composer Roy Carroll. Since 2012 she has been collaborating with director and choreographer Julyen Hamilton.

Roy Carroll is an Irish musician / composer making performances, recordings and compositions with electro-acoustic media. His work explores the physicality of music through provoking kinetic interactions between materials such as denuded loudspeakers, resonant objects, textured materials, feedback loops, the moving body, acoustic spaces, - instability as a creative prerogative even. His compositional work is similarly focused, but with some consideration for repeatability. Roy has collaborated extensively with choreographer Maya M. Carroll since 2006. In 2011 they formed The Instrument, under which they have made seven pieces and toured extensively.

Fattoria Vittadini was born in Milan in 2009 as the result of a path started in 2006, getting more concrete every day during three years spent together studying at the Dance-Theater Atelier at the Paolo Grassi School of Performing Arts, supervised by Marinella Guatterini. The company is a very heterogeneous group offering his performing skills to choreographers and other partners, adapting to a variety of languages and perfecting his own versatility and professionality through cultural exchange.
